Data show that Japan's chemical exports increased by 28.5% in August

Recently released official data show that Japan's chemical exports increased by 28.5% year-on-year to 850.8 billion yen in August, supporting the overall growth of overseas shipments.

According to the data of Japan's Ministry of Finance (MOF), Japan's exports increased by 26.2% year-on-year to 6.61 trillion yen, and its imports increased by 44.7% year-on-year to 7.24 trillion yen.

In August, Japan's export of organic chemicals increased by 26.7% year-on-year to 153.4 billion yen, and the export of plastic materials increased by 27.6% year-on-year to 240.5 billion yen.

In terms of quantity, the export volume of plastic materials was 477772 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 1.7%.

In August, the export volume of motor vehicles was 359370, a year-on-year decrease of 1.1%.

Exports to the United States increased by 22.8% in August.
