From January 26th to 28th, 2026, the Energy Department of our company dispatched a research team to conduct an on-site market research of the petroleum coke in Shandong. As a key by-product of crude oil deep processing, petroleum coke is an important component of Shandong's petrochemical industry. The research team visited several key smelting enterprises, port logistics nodes, and major downstream users in Shandong successively. By combining industry information with field collected data, we analyzed the current market situation and trends comprehensively.

Research suggests that Dongying City, as the core production and sales base of petroleum coke in Shandong Province, remains a relatively solid market position thanks to its clustered petrochemical industry and port logistics advantages. However, it still faces challenges such as a relatively narrowed product structure, rising environmental protection compliance costs, and insufficient support o industrial chain. Against the backdrop of the continuous advancement of the “the twin goals of carbon peak and carbon neutrality”and the transformation and upgrading of the industry, the Dongying petroleum coke market is expected to enter a new stage of development characterized by production capacity optimization, product premiumization, and industrial clusterization.
